Moderation

After the events surrounding the dead of Charlie Kirk, moderation on Bluesky sat front and center.

As many users disagreed with the actions taken by the Blueksy safety team, a record number started investigating the process of migrating to new PDSes.

While we may still be a long way from true decentralization, we are further along than most other platforms.

At the very least, the ability of users to migrate to an alternative infrastructure, will help keep the Bluesky team accountable, and as the tooling to migrate between PDSes improves, this will become a reality for many more users.
